The year’s biggest all-inclusive Overwatch event, Calling All Heroes Major 3, has wrapped up, setting the stage for the Championship in the year 2025.
The all-inclusive Overwatch event aimed to create a space for professional players, aspiring pros, and rising stars, and it hit the mark, judging by the positive viewership and fan reactions. Raidiant put on a fantastic event with support from Be Quiet! and Blacklyte, who made it even better by contributing extra prizes. The CAH Challenger Series is the ultimate competitive platform for marginalized genders to showcase and enhance their skills.
Starting in May and running through the end of the year, the circuit featured three Major events hosted by Raidiant and three Minor events organized by approved third-party hosts. The tournaments were open to anyone who signed up and followed a two-stage format. In the first stage, teams competed in a Swiss format with six rounds of first-to-two map wins matches, narrowing down the field to the top eight teams.
These teams then advanced to the second stage, a double-elimination bracket, with seeding based on their performance in the Swiss stage. The matches in this stage ranged from first-to-two to first-to-three map wins, with participants fighting for cash prizes.
Why CAH Major 3 was a notable Overwatch event in 2024
While the event’s main goal was to provide a platform for aspiring pro players, it also came with some added rewards for participants. Underdogs, who often struggle to get attention in Overwatch esports, were recognized with valuable prizes, items, and increased visibility.
Throughout the event, Blacklyte generously offered brand new Kraken Pro Gaming Chairs to players. The first round of giveaways saw chairs awarded to the rising Grand Finals MVP and the Challengers Grand Finals MVP. But that wasn’t allβthere was another wave where Blacklyte gave away even more chairs through Raidiant’s social channels and on Discord to lucky participants.
Thanks to Be Quiet, the overall tournament prize pool got a boost with their additional contribution, giving participants even more motivation to push harder for the number one spot. While the sponsors kept the spirit of participants high, viewers sent a strong message to the gaming world that aspiring talent in the Overwatch scene can deliver games worth watching. The event maintained solid viewership throughout the months, with a peak of 32,000 viewers across YouTube and Twitch.
It’s safe to say that the event not only showcased the potential of emerging talent but also proved that there’s a growing demand for exciting, high-level Overwatch competition. The strong viewership gave rising talent the opportunity to showcase its skills to a wider audience and gain a well-deserved spotlight. Throughout the duration of the event, social media was buzzing with discussions around the teams, which is an achievement in itself.
In addition to all of this, the participating teams walked away with a respectable share of the $6,500 prize pool. But that wasn’t the only reward. The CAH event also served as a gateway for more visibility and an entry point into the Overwatch esports scene. Along with the prize money and giveaways, teams earned valuable circuit points, which would secure them a spot in the 2024-2025 Calling All Heroes Championship in for February 2025.
NTMR Eclipse take away the number one CAH Championship spot
The event’s grand final was packed with intense action, keeping fans on the edge of their seats. After a tough loss in the upper bracket semifinals, Queen’s G4mbit made a flawless comeback in the lower bracket, leaving its final opponent shaking in fear as they fought their way to the top. However, it was NTMR Eclipse who secured the final spot after a dominant clean sweep of Azathoth, setting the stage for a thrilling conclusion.

Expectedly, the final was a close one, with NTMR beating Queen’s G4mbit in a 4-2 fashion, taking $3,500 home. However, Queen’s G4mbit was still able to make the cut for CAH Championship 2025.
