This summer was packed with exciting esports events, from Overwatch 2 battles to Valorant competitions. Let’s look at the key moments that defined our competitive summer.
Calling All Heroes (Overwatch 2)
The Calling All Heroes (CAH) Challenger Series is a competition that gives marginalized genders a place to shine and improve their gaming skills. The circuit runs from May to December, with three big events hosted by Raidiant and three smaller ones from other approved organizers.
At the end of the season, the top teams with the most points will go straight to the CAH Championship in February 2025. Other teams will still have a shot to make it through a Last-Chance Qualifier in January.
We’re well on our way to the last Major of this circuit, which will take place in December.
So far, we’ve seen Valentine and Green Fortnite take the win for Major 1 and Major 2, giving us some fantastic plays along the way. What has the final stretch of the season in store for us?
Valorant Game Changers Series #3
The Valorant Game Changers NA Series #3 wrapped up recently, running from October 15 to 20. It featured eight teams competing in a double-elimination format.
In an epic Grand Finals showdown, reigning World Champions Shopify Rebellion took home the championship by defeating FlyQuest RED, who also earned a spot in the Game Changers Championship in Berlin based on their performance throughout the series.
Valorant Game Changers Championship is taking place in Berlin from November 8 to 17. After a year packed with competition and over 80 qualifier events worldwide, it’s time to crown the next VALORANT Game Changers Champion.
Ten teams from regions like North America, EMEA, CN, APAC, Brazil, and Latin America earned their spots by winning major events or racking up circuit points.
Raidiant Academy (Valorant)
Raidiant Academy is the new face of the Game Changers Academy; it’s a cool initiative for VALORANT players looking to improve their skills. It includes a series of tournaments where teams can compete in a low-pressure setting. For 2024, there will be eight events throughout the year, and teams can win a share of $2,000 at each one.
This September, an event took place from the 21st to the 22nd, where Oomfies clinched first place against SaD Frost.
These tournaments are great for aspiring VALORANT players, offering a platform for them to shine and improve their skills. For more details on the results and upcoming events, you can check VLR.gg

The Milk Cup Winter Split is coming soon with a $50,000 prize pool. It kicks off with qualifiers on November 13 and December 9, with the finals set for December 16. This tournament will have a Duos and Zero Build format, providing a fresh challenge for players and allowing players with raw FPS skills, who might not be as confident when it comes to building, to access and feel more at home.
Star Chasers Showdown (Rocket League)
The Star Chasers Showdown Series 3 took place in mid-October. The Star Chasers Showdown is a series of tournaments celebrating women and marginalized genders in Rocket League.
