Since 2022, Calling All Heroes has been one of the best competitive tournaments for women and people of other marginalized genders. During these four years, it has evolved into something even better. This year, Calling All Heroes is back with a new and improved structure and the same goal as before: helping create a more inclusive path into professional Overwatch esports.
Calling All Heroes 2026 format
This year’s CAH is more approachable for both participants and viewers. Matches will now take place mainly on weekends, making it easier to balance with workweek commitments. The overall season is shorter and provides a clearer path from the start to the championship.
A shorter season and matches allow more practice time, making each match more impactful.

The tournament will be divided into three major phases. The first phase will be the Regular season, which will take place from the 11th to the 25th of July. The regular season will feature up to 64 teams competing in a Swiss-style format across six rounds, played over three weekends. Teams will be paired with opponents of similar records, helping create a more balanced, competitive schedule as the season progresses. The regular season will end with 8 teams on top, who will qualify for the playoffs.
The playoffs will be played August 8-9, with the top 8 teams from the regular season competing in a single-elimination bracket, before switching to double-elimination for the final four teams. All 8 teams reach the championship, with playoff results determining final seeding.
The Calling All Heroes 2026 Championship uses the format of a full double-elimination bracket over two weekends. The championship matches are scheduled for August 29-30 and September 5-6, 2026, and will have teams competing for a share of the $40,000 USD prize pool.
