One of Overwatch’s longest esports circuits wrapped up last month, showcasing global talent and crowning the best with championship titles and a sizable prize. Here’s how NMTR claimed the top spot at the CAH Championship.
Calling All Heroes kicked off in May 2024, scouting talent from every corner of the scene to crown a team that stood above the rest. Throughout the circuit, NMTR became a name that forced teams to put in extra hours of practice. In the final showdown at the Championship, the team proved its mettle as the best in the B-tier Overwatch scene.
For CAH uninitiated, the circuit featured three Major events hosted by Raidiant and three Minor events organized by approved third-party hosts. The tournaments were open to anyone who signed up and followed a two-stage format. So, while there are plenty of Overwatch events at this scale, a few are as accessible to aspiring pros as CAH.
After a hard-fought battle, NMTR secured the first finals spot in CAH Major 3, setting up a showdown against Queen’s G4mbit, a team known for its ultra-aggressive playstyle. As expected, the final was intense, with NMTR taking the win 4-2 and claiming the $3,500 prize. Both teams qualified for the Championship, which took place from January 9 to 12.
How NMTR won the CAH Championship
NMTR started slow, facing Nadokato in their opening match. Compared to their Major showdown against G4mbit, this win came with less resistance, as they cruised to a 3-1 victory. Their matches against Azatoth and Valentine followed a similar script, with NMTR securing dominant clean sweeps. But in the finals, Queen’s G4mbit stood waiting, hungry for revenge.
Queen’s G4mbit qualified through the Circuit Point route alongside 13 other teams, and the team didn’t make the final easy for NMTR. However, G4mbit managed to take only one map, dropping the rest as NMTR closed out the series 3-1. Ultimately, NMTR repeated its Major 3 triumph, but this time for a bigger prize! The team walked away with $10,000 and the title of CAH Champions 2025. Thanks to Blackbyte, the winners also took home brand new Kraken Pro Gaming Chairs.

While all participants contributed to the win, Collin “wsps” Grogan was the star of the event. The 21-year-old DPS did plenty of damage with their Windowmaker, pushing NMTR towards a deserved victory.
NMTR, The CAH Challengers Series Champions

NMTR is a rising name in Overwatch esports, featuring eight players from the United States, except for Hitori, who hails from Germany.
Here’s the winning lineup:
- Hitori
- Sniper
- Wsps
- Peace
- Bun
- Prota
- ZZZ
- NenWhy
Throughout the event, Hitori served as the team’s main tank, primarily playing Winston and occasionally Ramattra. Despite a relatively short pro career—starting in 2020—Hitori has built an impressive track record, stacking more wins than losses in just a few years. 2024 was a breakout year, with victories in CAH Minor 3, the Nordin Esports League, and several other tournaments. As a Tank, Hitori had company from fellow tank Stevie “sniper” Rivera, who likes to juggle between Sigma and D.VA. For the CAH Championship, Sniper offered coaching, and clearly, it all worked out well for NMTR.
Tournament MVP Collin “wsps” Grogan has been making waves with a stellar performance throughout 2024. The DPS kicked off the year with a major win at the Super Girl Gamer Pro Championship and kept up the momentum at the Calling All Heroes Challengers Series Championship 2024. They also came close to a podium finish at the Overwatch Champions Series 2024 – NA Stage 4, securing 4th place—an impressive feat for an emerging talent.
Devin “peace” Vasquez and Chloe “Bun” were also standout players at the event, with Bun already boasting a strong CAH track record, including an MVP award at the 2023 Major. With a career dating back to 2019, Bun proved to be a crucial asset for NMTR.
NMTR rolled in with three support players: NenWhy, Dale “Prota” Jacek, and Z. “zzz” Harvey. NenWhy is still relatively new in the B-Tier Overwatch scene but has already made waves at FACEIT League Season 2 – NA Expert under Avidity, securing the number one spot. Thanks to their clean Mercy, NMTR was able to snag the trophy.
But plenty of support came from ZZZ, the team’s star player. With a track record that dates back to 2021, ZZZ has won events like FACEIT League Season 3 (NA Qualifier), Overwatch Champions Series 2024 – (NA Qualifier), and more. In a short time, they were able to stack victories, earning a spot on NMTR and then propelling the team to victory at the CAH Championship.
NMTR had an incredible mix of firepower and brute force, as reflected in their players’ impressive histories. However, their championship run wasn’t just about raw skill—it was their sheer communication and teamwork that turned their potential into victory. From precise ultimate coordination to perfectly timed engages, NMTR operated like a well-oiled machine, consistently outmaneuvering their opponents.
