For a roster assembled not too long ago, FLYQuest REDβs win at Valorant Game Changers 2026: NA Kickoff feels less like a surprise and more like an early warning to the rest of the field.
The VCT Game Changers 2026 North America Kickoff was the opening event of the regional circuit, bringing together top women’s and marginalized-gender teams to compete for early-season positioning. It followed a multi-stage format, starting with open qualifiers and narrowing into a main event bracket featuring the strongest teams in the region.
The finale came down to Blue Otters going up against a newly put-together FLYQuest Red. Surprisingly, though, FLYQuest Red made the win super easy.
How FLYQuest Red won Game Changers 2026: NA Kick off
The grand final of the VCT Game Changers 2026 North America Kickoff featured FlyQuest RED taking on Blue Otter GC in a best-of-five that tested both teams across four maps. FlyQuest RED closed the series 3β1, but the match had enough swings to keep it competitive throughout.
The series opened in Split, where both teams traded rounds early. Blue Otter kept things close through mid-round adjustments, but FlyQuest edged it out 14β12 after a tense overtime finish. That opening map set the tone, with neither side giving away easy rounds and both relying heavily on late-round executions.
Pearl followed, and this is where FlyQuest began to pull away. Their attacking side found consistent openings, controlling tempo and limiting Blue Otterβs ability to stabilize. The map ended 13β4, with FlyQuest looking far more comfortable in both site hits and defensive setups.
Blue Otter responded on Breeze, refusing to let the series slip away. Avery stepped up in a major way, posting a 2.1 KD and 237 ACS, consistently finding impact in opening duels and clutch situations. That individual performance helped Blue Otter secure a 13β8 win and keep the series alive heading into map four.
Bind became the deciding map, and FlyQuest reset quickly after the Breeze loss. Their coordination on executes and retakes proved more consistent, with Edith and MelyaFPS delivering key impact rounds at crucial moments. FlyQuest controlled the pace and closed the map 13β7, sealing the series 3β1.
In the end, the difference came down to structure and consistency. While Blue Otter had standout moments, FlyQuest RED maintained control across more rounds, converting advantages and closing out the series with confidence.
What it means for FLYQuest Red to win NA Kickoff
While several FLYQuest RED players had prior experience, the roster itself was only finalized in mid-February, giving them limited time to prepare for one of the first major events of the year.

For players like MelyaFPS, who previously spent time under 100 Thieves GC, this marks a breakthrough win under a new banner. Jazzy also emerged as a key contributor, using this run to establish herself within the scene.
With this victory, FLYQuest RED secures not just the KKickofftitle, but also early circuit points and momentum heading into the next stage of the Game Changers season. The NA circuit now moves forward into its subsequent stages, where results carry more weight toward qualification for the Game Changers Championship later in the year.
This win puts FLYQuest RED in a strong position as one of the teams to watch, with a clear head start over the rest of the field as the 2026 season unfolds.
