TO PARTICIPATE IN THE TOURNAMENT, YOU MUST HAVE VALORANT AND BATTLEFY ACCOUNTS (FREE TO REGISTER).
The Red Bull Ground North American Open Qualifier 2024 (the “Tournament”) is a tournament that is open to the general public and invited participants sponsored by Red Bull North America, Inc. (“Red Bull” or “Sponsor”). The Tournament is subject to all applicable federal, state/provincial, and local laws. Void in Quebec and where prohibited by law. Employees, agents, directors, officers (including members of their immediate family – i.e., spouse, mother, father, in-laws, grandmother, grandfather, brother, sister, children and grandchildren – or those living in the same household) of Red Bull, Capcom USA, Inc., New Meta Entertainment, Inc., and each of their parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising agencies, public relations agencies, prize suppliers, including any vendors providing services in connection with this Tournament (collectively, the “Related Entities”), are not eligible to participate.
1. ELIGIBILITY; REGISTRATION.
The competition (as described below), is open to participants who are (i) legal residents of the US (including DC) and Canada (excluding Quebec), and (ii) at least eighteen (18) years of age and the age of majority in your jurisdiction of residence as of the date of registration. The Tournament involves participants competing in the video game Valorant.

Registration. Participants may register to compete beginning at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time (“PT”) on July 2, 2024 and ending the earlier of (i) upon the registration of 256 total Teams for the event; or (ii) Monday, August 26, 2024.
To register to participate in the Tournament, Players must visit the Tournament Battlefy page located at: Red Bull Home Ground NA Open Qualifier by Raidiant (battlefy.com), complete all the required information, and follow on-screen instructions. Registration is completed on a first come-first served basis.
Players must register as a Team to compete in the Tournament. Each Team must be comprised of five (5) members, with up to two (2) additional substitute members, for a total of seven (7) members. All Team members must meet Tournament eligibility requirements. In the event a Team member is disqualified or unable to continue as a member of Team, the Team is permitted to replace such member with the designated substitute. Each Team may also register up to two (2) coaches, with one (1) such coach designated as the “main coach”).
Each registration must be completed and submitted by a single member of the Team who has been designated as the authorized representative of such Team. A Team’s representative must meet all eligibility requirements, have authority and permission from each member of the Team to enter the Team in the Tournament, and have the authority to legally bind each member of the Team, including (without limitation) to the terms and conditions of these Official Rules and to any other required documentation as contemplated in these Official Rules.
Limit one (1) entry per Team; participants cannot be a member of more than one (1) Team.
By participating in the Tournament, you agree to the Battlefy Terms of Service
(battlefy.com/policies/terms-of-service) and Privacy Policy (battlefy.com/policies/privacy-policy), incorporated herein by reference, and the Tournament Rulebook (redbull.com/homegroundNA).
2. TOURNAMENT GAMEPLAY:
The Tournament may be modified in Sponsor’s sole discretion. It is each Team’s responsibility to be online on time for registration, for the Team briefing, if provided by Sponsor, and for the start of the competition.
Tournament Structure
The Tournament will consist of a maximum of 256 Teams competing to be the winner, where each winner will only be determined subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules and
the Tournament Rulebook (available at: redbull.com/homegroundNA). The Tournament is a singleelimination bracket with 5-v-5 “best of 3” match-ups, where the Team in each match-up that wins 2 of 3 rounds will be determined as the winner of that match-up. The Tournament will proceed as follows (subject to change in Sponsor’s sole discretion):
- August 30, 2024: Round of 256, Round of 128, Round of 64
- August 31, 2024: Round of 32, Round of 16, Round of 8
- September 1, 2024: Top 4 advancing Teams compete against four (4) invited Teams in single elimination, best-of-3 match ups in Quarterfinals (8 Teams), Semifinals (4 Teams), Grand Finals (2 Teams).
The Team that wins this final match-up will be determined as the winner of Tournament, subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules.
All details of game play and additional rules are contained in the Tournament Rulebook.
Players must comply with any additional game-play rules provided by Sponsor or Tournament administrator in order to be eligible to win.
3. WINNER ANNOUNCEMENTS. The winner of the Tournament will be announced following the end of the event and on Twitter/X @redbullgaming (x.com/redbullgaming).
4. PRIZES. Upon verification of eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules, the winning Team (up to seven (7) members) will receive: (i) an entry to attend and compete to play in the in-person Red Bull Home Ground Tournament, September 27–29, 2024 in Seattle, Washington; (ii) round-trip economy air travel to Seattle from the airport nearest each Team member, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion; (iii) accommodations (room and tax only) for three (3) nights, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion; and (iii) food and beverages allowance.
The approximate retail value (“ARV”) of each prize to be awarded is $2,295. The ARV of all prizes to be awarded is $16,065.
Travel-Related Prizes: All travel arrangements must be made through Sponsor’s agent. Any other costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specifically provided herein (such as security fees, gratuities, luggage fees, meals and transportation, service charges or facility charges, personal charges at lodging, taxes, and all other expenses not specified above) are the sole responsibility of winner(s). Prize winners may be required to present a credit card at time of hotel check-in. Ground transportation may be provided in lieu of air transportation if winner resides within a 100-mile radius of destination, and no compensation or substitution will be provided for difference in value. Winners must possess and show valid travel documents, prior to departure (e.g., proof of vaccination and/or negative COVID test(s), passport, visa, valid driver’s license, or other acceptable government-issued identification), and must sign a Release of Liability/Publicity and any other documents provided to him or her prior to ticketing. In the event a winner does not have a valid passport and/or valid travel documents for any required travel, as determined in Sponsor’s sole discretion, such winner will be disqualified, and the winning Team may substitute an eligible Team member to receive the prize. In the event no eligible Team member can be substituted, that portion of the prize will be forfeited. In the event fewer than five (5) members of the winning Team can travel as required, the second-place Team in the Tournament will be receive the prize. Once airline tickets have been ticketed, no changes will be permitted. Sponsor will determine airline, airports, flight itinerary, and hotel in its sole discretion. Travel and accommodation restrictions, conditions, and limitations may apply. Sponsor will not replace any lost, mutilated, or stolen tickets or travel vouchers. No refund or compensation will be paid in the event of the cancellation or delay of the trip prize (“Event”), or any portion thereof. Sponsor will not be liable if the Event, or any portion of it, is cancelled or delayed. Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, attempt to reschedule for a future event. Event access is subject to certain terms and conditions as specified by Event location. Any terms and conditions for the Event may govern if the Event is cancelled due to weather, an act of God, an act of terrorism, civil disturbance, public health crisis, or any other reason. Exact details shall be determined in the sole discretion of Sponsor.
The following general conditions apply to each Prize: (i) Prizes must be accepted as awarded and is not transferable, assignable and/or convertible to cash (except as may be specifically permitted by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion); (ii) no substitutions are permitted, except at Sponsor’s option; (iii) if a participant does not utilize any part(s) of a Prize, then any such part(s) not utilized may, in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor, be forfeited in their entirety and, if forfeited, nothing will be substituted in its place; (iv) Sponsor reserves the right at any time to: (a) place reasonable restrictions on the availability or use of a Prize or any component thereof; and (b) substitute a Prize or a component thereof for any reason with a prize or prize component(s) of equal or greater retail value, including, without limitation, but solely at the Sponsor’s sole discretion, a cash award; and (v) by accepting a Prize, the participant agrees to waive all recourse against the Sponsor and all of the other Released Parties if the Prize or a component thereof does not prove satisfactory, either in whole or in part.
All prizes are awarded “AS IS.” None of the Released Parties makes any representation or offers any warranty, express or implied, as to the quality or fitness of the Prize awarded in connection with the Tournament. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, each Player understands and acknowledges that he or she may not seek reimbursement or pursue any legal or equitable remedy from either the Sponsor or any of the other Released Parties should the Prize fail to be fit for its purpose or is in any way unsatisfactory. Federal, state, and local taxes on prizes, if any, and any other costs, fees and expenses not listed above as specifically included as part of the prize are the sole responsibility of each Player. ALL TAXES ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNER(S). For US residents, an IRS form 1099 and other tax-related forms and documents may be issued by Red Bull if required by law.
5. REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES
Each Player (for the remainder of these Tournament Rules, collectively “you”) represent and warrant:
A. You will not engage in any unsportsmanlike conduct during the Tournament. If Red Bull or any designated administrator needs to resolve any issue relating to your conduct, then any decision made will be final and not appealable except in Red Bull’s sole discretion. Any player collusion, offensive remark, or other infraction as determined by Sponsor, may, as determined in Red Bull’s sole discretion, result in disqualification.
B. You will not violate or infringe upon the rights of any person or entity, including without
limitation copyrights, trademarks or rights of privacy or publicity, and must not act in any way that, in Red Bull’s sole discretion, is defamatory, threatening, indecent, obscene or offensive,
pornographic, lewd, sexually explicit, inappropriate, objectionable, unlawful, in violation of or
contrary to any applicable laws or regulations. You must not disparage or cast a negative light on any person, entity, or brand, product, or service.
C. You will not reference any names, products or services of any company or entity or any third-party trademarks, logos, trade dress or promotion of any brand, product, or service during your participation in the Tournament without prior approval from Sponsor.
D. You will comply fully with these Official Rules and the Tournament Rulebook, as applicable.
E. You will comply with all Riot Games, Inc.’s and Battlefy’s terms and requirements including
but not limited to any end-user license agreements or terms of service.
F. You will abide by all laws, regulations, ordinances, and rules, and that you will not harm, attempt to harm, or threaten to harm any person (including yourself) or property in relation to or during your participation in the Tournament. If you violate any of the foregoing Representations and Warranties, you may be disqualified from the Tournament at any time in Sponsor’s sole discretion. You agree to reimburse Red Bull and Related Entities in full for any losses, damages, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees that you may sustain from you breaching these Tournament Rules.
6. LICENSES/RELEASES/RIGHT OF PUBLICITY
By participating in the Tournament: (1) you grant to Red Bull a perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, freely assignable license to reproduce your registration and any images, descriptions, audio, or video of your participation in the Tournament and to otherwise use, exploit, copy, modify, adapt, edit, publish and display your registration and any images, descriptions, audio, or video of your participation in the Tournament in any form, manner, venue, media or technology now known or later developed for any and all purposes, including, without limitation, for purposes of trade, advertising, and promotion as Red Bull or and its licensees or assignees determine, without further compensation, notification, or permission; (2) you hereby waive any moral rights you may have in any images, descriptions, audio, or video of your participation in the Tournament in favor of the Red Bull; and (3) you also grant to Red Bull the worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, fully sub-licensable, and freely transferable right, but not the obligation, to use any and all names, identities, titles, likenesses, distinctive appearances, physical likenesses, images, portraits, pictures, photographs (whether still or moving), screen personas, voices, vocal styles, statements, gestures, mannerisms, personalities, performance characteristics, biographical data, signatures, and any other indicia or imitations of identity or likeness listed, provided, referenced, or otherwise contained in your registration or your Tournament participation for purposes of advertising and trade, in any format, medium, or technology now known or later developed without further notice, approval, or compensation, unless prohibited by law. At Red Bull’s request and in its sole discretion and to further document the foregoing, you agree to execute an assignment and release transferring all rights and ownership, if any, any images, descriptions, audio, or video of your participation in the Tournament to Red Bull, the form of such assignment to be determined by Red Bull in its sole discretion.
7. WINNER NOTIFICATION/RELEASES
Confirmation that a participant is a potential prize winner will be sent via email on or about the same business day of the completion of the events in this Tournament. Each participant may be required, in Red Bull’s sole discretion, to complete and return an Affidavit of Eligibility (or Declaration of Eligibility), a scan or photo of government-issued ID, Release of Liability and/or, if legally permissible, a Publicity Release before claiming a prize.
8. MARKETING
Submission of contact information in connection with this Tournament (whether or not required), including, without limitation, mailing address, phone number, email address, or any other identifying information, during registration constitutes permission for Red Bull to use entrant’s personal information for purposes of administration of the Tournament. Entrants also may opt-in to be added to Red Bull’s customer database and to permit Red Bull to contact entrant in the future for promotional and other reasons. You may opt-out of receiving such communications as set forth in Red Bull’s Privacy Policy (located at http://www.redbull.com/pp/en_US) or as provided within any such marketing materials (e.g., using the “Unsubscribe” feature provided in the footer of Red Bull’s e-mails). The information you provide will only be used in accordance with Red Bull’s Privacy Policy.
9. NO LIABILITY & INDEMNIFICATION
By entering this Tournament, you agree to release, discharge and hold harmless Red Bull, Red Bull Affiliates, the Related Entities, Battlefy, Inc., and each of their respective directors, officers, employees, agents and assigns (the “Released Parties”) from any claims, losses, and damages arising out of, or relating to, your participation in this Tournament or any Tournament-related activities and the acceptance and use, misuse, or possession of any prize awarded hereunder (including, without limitation, any misrepresentation made by the entrant in connection with the Tournament; any non-compliance by the entrant with these Official Rules; claims brought by persons or entities other than the parties to these Official Rules arising from or related to the entrant’s involvement with the Tournament; acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any prize or participation in any Tournament-related activity or participation in this Tournament; any malfunction, error or other problem arising in connection with the collection, processing, or retention of registration information; any software, hardware, internet connection, or malfunction, error, or other problem affecting an entrant’s participation in the Tournament, or any typographical or other error in the printing, offering or announcement of any prize or winner). The foregoing includes, without limitation, any claim for personal injury, property loss or damage, or death arising in any way in connection with the Tournament.
If your participation in the Tournament causes Sponsor to be subject to a claim by any third party (including, but not limited to, a claim of infringement), you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties, and all persons acting by, through, under or in concert with them, against any and all damages, costs, judgments and expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) which the Released Parties (or any one of them) may incur as a result of your participation.
10. OTHER TERMS
Decisions of Red Bull on all matters related to the Tournament are final and binding. Red Bull reserves the right to cancel or modify the Tournament for any reason, including but not limited to, if fraud, misconduct or technical failures destroy the integrity of the Tournament, or if a computer virus, bug, or other technical problem corrupts the administration, security, or proper administration of the Tournament as determined by Red Bull, in its sole discretion. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE OR UNDERMINE THE OPERATION OF THIS TOURNAMENT MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL & CIVIL LAWS. RED BULL RESERVES THE RIGHT TO DISQUALIFY AND/OR SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY INDIVIDUAL MAKING ANY SUCH ATTEMPTS TO THE FULL EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW.
11. RIGHT TO DISQUALIFY
Red Bull reserves the right to disqualify or prohibit the participation of an individual if fraud or tampering is suspected; if the individual fails to comply with any requirement of participation or with any provision in these Official Rules; if the individual’s behavior or communication at any point is disruptive, may or does cause damage or to any person, property, or reputation of Red Bull; or is otherwise not in accordance with all applicable laws and generally accepted social practices as determined in Red Bull’s sole discretion.
12. GOVERNING LAW & MANDATORY ARBITRATION. Any disputes arising under this
Tournament and/or these Official Rules will be governed by relevant U.S. federal statutes and regulations and the internal laws of the State of California. Sponsor and each entrant agree that any such claim or dispute between the parties, or between a party and any agent, employee, successor, or assign of the other, related to this Tournament and/or these Official Rules (including the applicability of this arbitration clause) shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the JAMS under its rules and procedures in effect when the claim is filed. The rules and procedures and other information, including information on fees, may be obtained from JAMS’ website (www.jamsadr.com) or by calling JAMS at 949-224-1810. Any award by the arbitrator(s) may be entered as a judgment in any court having jurisdiction. NO DISPUTE OR CLAIM MAY BE BROUGHT AS A CLASS ACTION OR AS A PRIVATE ATTORNEY GENERAL, AND EACH ENTRANT WILL NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO ACT AS A CLASS REPRESENTATIVE OR PARTICIPATE AS A MEMBER OF A CLASS OF CLAIMANTS WITH RESPECT TO ANY DISPUTE OR CLAIM.
13. SEVERABILITY
If any provision(s) of these Official Rules are held to be invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions hereof will remain in full force and effect.
14. DISCREPANCY
In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of these Official Rules and disclosures or other statements contained in any Tournament-related materials, including but not limited to the Tournament entry form, point of sale, television, print or online advertising, the terms and conditions of these Official Rules shall prevail, govern and control.
