Calling All Heroes tournaments have often crowned familiar Overwatch names, but Avidity entered the Spring Finals 2025 as underdogs and swiped the win out of the teeth of a heavy favorite. The result left fans stunned and curious about who exactly these Avidity players were.

Calling All Heroes Spring Finals 2025 was the climactic conclusion of the Spring Stage of Calling All Heroes, a premier Overwatch 2 open-circuit tournament presented by Overwatch Esports and Raidiant. Known for championing inclusivity and spotlighting talent from marginalized genders, the event has become a key platform for grassroots players to break through. This year, that mission came to life once again as a team called Avidity made their debut, and turned more than a few heads in the process.

Held from late May to early June, it featured a six‑round Swiss regular season followed by a single-elimination playoff bracket to determine the top three teams who would qualify for the year-end Calling All Heroes Championship. The Finals itself was a high-stakes showdown where Avidity CAH swept ExO: Sakura 3–0 across Ilios, New Junk City, and Runasapi.

While Nenwhy has been with the team for a long time, Senna and others had some adjusting to do. Still, it was a breeze since each player came with a rich background in Overwatch.

NenWhyy had experience from playing support in Extinction and at Bryant & Stratton College, Virginia. They actively tune into competitive schedules and have also hit the Champions 3 rank on livestream, which speaks to their strong mechanical skill and consistency under pressure. However, their main firepower came from the new addition of Senna, who’s been a staple in the Overwatch competitive circuit, playing for teams like Timeless, Queen’s G4mbit, Emote Down Mid, and now Avidity, where she claimed the 2025 CAH Spring Finals championship.

However, Avidity’s win wouldn’t have been possible without Hitori, whose show-stealing Sojourn plays turned the tide in key moments. While enabling Mage up close, Hitori dished out crucial damage from the backline, often cleaning up fights with precise aim and clever positioning. Their competitive résumé includes time with Extinction and participation in the Overwatch World Cup Qualifiers for Germany. Outside of tournaments, they stream FPL games on Twitch, where they’ve built a dedicated fanbase thanks to their mechanical skill and laid-back on-stream presence. Hitori’s performance in the Spring Finals solidified their reputation as one of Avidity’s most impactful players.

Ivory and Scuffed were two of the most talked about players on the CAH broadcast, praised for their standout synergy and clutch contributions throughout the Finals. Ivory, a rising hitscan DPS, has been making waves in FACEIT tournaments while also competing at the collegiate level with Bellevue University. On the other hand, Scuffed is a longtime core of Avidity, someone whose presence predates the team’s breakout.
